Lineup IQ ("we", "our", "us") is a youth baseball lineup tool operated by We Film Sh t LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Lineup IQ, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you give us directly
When you create a coach, parent, or commissioner account, we collect:
- Your email address (used to sign in and to send team invitations)
- Your name (used to identify you to your team)
- A password (encrypted and never stored in plain text)
When you set up a team or roster, you (the coach) provide:
- Team name and league season
- Each player's name, jersey number, age, and throwing/batting handedness
- Each player's skill ratings (batting, fielding, pitching) — used by the lineup algorithm
- Each player's role flags (e.g., can pitch, can catch, can play first base)
- Game schedule and opponents
- Game results, attendance, and pitch counts
When you upload media, you may provide:
- Player headshots
- Game-day photos
- Highlight clip videos
1.2 Information collected automatically
When you use Lineup IQ on a mobile device or browser:
- Device identifiers and basic device info (model, OS version, browser)
- Approximate location (only if you grant location permission — used to display weather and forecast for upcoming games)
- App version and crash diagnostics (used to fix bugs)
1.3 Information about children
Lineup IQ is a tool for adult coaches, parents, and league commissioners to manage youth sports teams. Players on a team are typically minors. All account holders must be at least 18 years of age.
COPPA and the school-authorization framework. Under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") and FTC guidance, an online service may collect limited personal information about children under 13 when a school or analogous institution has authorized the collection on behalf of parents within the educational or organizational context. Youth sports leagues function analogously to schools for the purpose of organizing supervised team activities, and Lineup IQ is designed for use within this framework:
- Coaches: You represent that your league has obtained parental consent for the collection and processing of player information in connection with team participation, through the league's standard registration or enrollment process. You must not upload information about a minor outside the scope of that consent.
- Parents: You may upload information about your own children under your inherent parental authority and may update or delete that information at any time.
We do not directly solicit information from children under 13. All account creation, content uploads, and lineup-management actions are performed by adult account holders. We do not enable children to create their own accounts, contact other users directly, or post content publicly outside of their team.
Parental rights. A parent or guardian may, at any time, contact privacy@wfs.productions to: (a) review the personal information collected about their child; (b) request deletion of that information; or (c) refuse to permit further collection or use of that information. We will respond to verifiable parental requests in accordance with COPPA and applicable law.
2. How we use information
We use the information you provide to:
- Operate the Lineup IQ service (generate lineups, display rosters, send invites)
- Authenticate you and protect your account
- Display weather and game-day information
- Send transactional emails (team invites, password resets)
- Diagnose bugs and improve the service
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your information. We do not show third-party ads. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
3. How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the service:
- Within your team: Coaches, parents, and commissioners on the same team can see roster info, game info, photos, and clips.
- With service providers acting on our behalf under written data-processing terms:
- Vercel Inc. (application hosting; United States)
- Supabase, Inc. (database, authentication, and media storage; United States)
- Nylas, Inc. (transactional email delivery; United States)
- Functional Software, Inc. d/b/a Sentry (error reporting and crash diagnostics; United States)
- Through share links you generate: If you generate a share link for a photo or recap, the link is signed and expires after 7 days. Anyone with the link can view the linked content until expiry.
- When legally required: In response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process — and only to the extent required by law.
4. How long we keep information
- Account data: as long as your account exists, plus 30 days after deletion for backup recovery
- Roster, game, and team data: until you (or your team commissioner) delete it
- Media (photos, clips): until you delete it or the team is deleted
- Diagnostic / error data: 90 days
You can delete your account in-app at any time. See Section 6.
5. Where information is stored
Information is stored on servers operated by our service providers, currently located in the United States.
6. Your rights and choices
- Access: You can see your own account info from the Settings page in-app.
- Correction: Update your name and email from the Settings page.
- Deletion: Tap "Delete Account" in Settings. This permanently deletes your account and removes you from all teams you are a member of. Team data (roster, games) is retained by other team members if they still have access.
- Export: Email privacy@wfs.productions to request a copy of your data.
- Location permission: You can revoke location permission in your device settings at any time. Weather and forecast features will stop working but the rest of the app continues to work.
- Camera / Photo permission: Revokable in device settings.
- Marketing email: Lineup IQ does not send marketing email. Transactional email (invites, password resets) is part of the service and cannot be opted out separately.
6.1 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"):
- Right to know the categories of personal information we have collected, the sources, and how we use it
- Right to access a copy of the specific personal information we hold about you
- Right to delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information
- Right to opt out of "selling" or "sharing": We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. The right exists; there is nothing to opt out of.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the Service
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights
To exercise these rights, email privacy@wfs.productions. We will respond within 45 days. We may require you to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
6.2 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Swiss residents
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and equivalent UK/Swiss law, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Contact privacy@wfs.productions to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Our legal basis for processing your personal information is contractual necessity (to provide the Service you signed up for) and our legitimate interests (operating and securing the Service).
6.3 Cookies and similar technologies; Do Not Track
Lineup IQ uses cookies and similar technologies (including local storage) only as necessary to operate the Service — specifically, to maintain your authenticated session and to remember your in-app preferences. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising or third-party analytics.
Do Not Track ("DNT"). Because we do not engage in cross-site tracking, your browser's "Do Not Track" signal does not change our behavior — there is nothing to disable.
7. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your information:
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt
- Data in transit is encrypted via TLS
- Photos and clips are stored in private buckets and accessed only through signed URLs that expire
- Database access is gated by row-level security so each team's data is isolated from other teams
No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at privacy@wfs.productions.
8. Children's privacy specifics
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child's information has been collected through Lineup IQ without your consent, contact privacy@wfs.productions and we will delete the information.
9. International users
Lineup IQ is operated from the United States. If you use Lineup IQ from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States, subject to U.S. law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated by email to account holders.
